Editorial Policy.

EverestBlog is an independent digital publication about Nepal’s wildlife, nature, travel, culture and conservation, founded by Himal Shahi Thakuri. This policy explains how our articles are produced.

Original content

Our articles are written from original field experiences, research and interviews. We do not copy articles from other publications, and we do not publish invented stories, reviews or statistics.

Sources and accuracy

We check facts against credible sources such as national park authorities, scientific literature and conservation organisations, and we link to them where appropriate. If we make a mistake, we correct it openly — see our Corrections Policy.

Photography and illustrations

Each article names the source of its cover image. We clearly distinguish:

• Original photography taken by our team in the field.
• Licensed photography used with permission from its owner.
• AI-assisted illustrations, which are always labelled as illustrations and are never presented as real wildlife photographs.

Independence

Advertising and sponsored placements are shown separately from articles and never decide what we write or how we write it.
